Architectural Requests


For residents who wish to make improvements or perform maintenance to the outside of their property, an architectural request form must be submitted to our management company for review by the board. This form must be submitted and approved before any work starts. To avoid unnecessary delays to your request please provide as much detail as possible regarding the changes or work which will be done as well as any surveys or pictures which can help document your request. Some changes may require for you to provide a copy of your property survey. All modifications must receive county permitting by Miami-Dade County Building & Zoning and they will require written approval from Devon-Aire Villas Homeowners Association No. 3, Inc prior to granting any building permit.  Please see the Rules & Regulations document for more information.

Below you will find exterior paint & roof shingle specifications relevant to our community:

Exterior Paint:

Devon-Aire HOA #3 has registered our approved exterior paint colors at the following locations:

When visiting the Home Depot, Please stop by the Pro Desk for approved paint colors.  The Home Depot Pro Desk is open Mon - Fri.  If the Pro Desk is closed, you can print out one of two flyers that correspond to your unit and go straight to the paint center.  For units that are Brown & Beige, Click Here.  For units that are the Green & Beige, Click Here.

When visiting the Sherwin Williams locations above, please mention that your green or brown home is located in Devon-Aire Villas HOA #3.

Although we highly encourage homeowners to purchase their paint from the above locations, it is not a requirement.  Homeowners purchasing paint from locations other than those listed above do so at their own risk.  If a homeowner wishes to purchase paint elsewhere we ask that you check with our management company first before making that decision and discourage owners from trying to color match paint on their own using faded paint.  Homeowners who do not use the correct paint for their home will be required to repaint their home with the correct colors at their expense.

Roof Shingle Replacements:

Devon-Aire Villas HOA #3 homes use either brown or green shingles depending on the color of your home.

Should your home be the brown, the shingle color must be either:
  1. Three Tab: “Royal Sovereign/Golden Cedar” by GAF.
  2. Wind Rated: StormMaster® Shake/Desert Shake by Atlas Roofing Corp.
  3. Wind Rated: Timberline HD/Shakewood by GAF
  4. Wind Rated: True Definition/Desert Tan by Owens Corning  
Should your home be the green, the shingle color must be either:
  1. Wind Rated: Timberline HD Birchwood with Stainguard by GAF  

IMPORTANT:

  • Make sure to check for availability of the correct shingle before any work begins.
  • If shingle color is not currently available you must wait until it is available.
  • Make sure to have shingle approved by association before you begin any work. Do not put up any shingle that is not listed above, or the association will force you to have the roof redone with the correct shingle at your expense.

Pay Assessment Online

You now have the option to pay your annual assessment via eCheck or Credit Card. Annual assessment is due by January 1st. If you wish to pay online, you will need your eight digit account number.
